The Basics:
Cleanser
Traditional soaps are not a good way to clean your skin. Using soap will produce skin that is too dry. I recommend using designated cleansers which will clean the skin much better that any soap and will not disturb the ph balance.
The best cleanser I know is Sothys. It is gentle and will not irritate your
skin and yet it is very powerful in removing dirt and oil. After using the
cleanser, skin does not feel dry but squeaky clean.
Tip:
If you tend to breakout after waxing, I recommend leaving this
cleanser on your skin for a few minutes until the irritation subsides.
Hydration:: Aloe Moisturizer with Hyaluronic
Acid and Vitamin A & E is pure hydration. This product is
great for all skin types. It is non-clogging and oil free.
Ingredients And Rationale: Aloe has the ability to
penetrate to water retaining levels of the skin and contains
trace minerals and vitamins to promote a healing effect. In addition,
Hyaluronic Acid is highly effective in trapping moisture – 1
molecule retains 40 molecules of water.
For certain clients I like to increase the already ultra moisturizing power of this product and make this moisturizer even stronger by adding pure Hyaluronic Acid (Hydra B serum).
Tip:
This moisturizer is especially good for ageing skin and even better
with the extra Hydra B serum.
Toner:: Concentrated Herbal Serum.
This toner is so concentrated with healing herbs it performs
many essential functions. It soothes inflammation, heals
and disinfects skin after extractions, protects from breakouts
and restores balance. With regular application this balancing product
makes oily skin less oily and dry skin more active.
Main ingredients: Yarrow which has anti-inflammatory
and healing properties. In olden times warriors promoted healing
in wounds by applying fresh yarrow. Other ingredients in the
toner are echinacea, chamomile and ginkgo.
Comment:
This product is universally loved by my clients. This is especially
effective on those with acne and rosacea.
Exfoliation:: Glycolic Acid
Exfoliation is crucial to keep skin young as well as to prevent
clogging. Glycolic acid is very effective because it has small
molecules which penetrate deeper and dissolve the sticky glue-like
substance between dead cells.
How to use Glycolic in your home:I recommend during the
first week after your facial you simply add a little drop of
Glycolic to your cleanser and use it twice a week. During the
second week apply Glycolic directly to dry skin after cleansing
and leave on for 2-5 minutes. Repeat this 2 times a week. During
your third week, perform the same process as in the second week
but now keep the Glycolic on your face for 5-10 minutes. For
the fourth week, keep Glycolic for 2-5 minutes then apply a thin
coat of aloe moisturizer and sleep with it on. Perform once or
2 times a week.
Comment:I have clients in their 50’s
and 60’s who have been using this treatment for over 20
years and have smooth, young skin.
Tip: If
you have aging skin, Glycolic is essential to keep skin young.
I have clients who have been using glycolic consistently and
have smooth young skin in their 50’s and 60’s For
acne skin this is a lifesaver because it un-roofs pores and
gets the oil out.
Sunscreen
I only recommend and sell mineral sun protection. This type of protection works as a barrier reflecting UVA and UVB from the skin with the help of powerful minerals: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Mineral sunscreen does not clog pores and truly protects your skin from sun.
Tip:
When I analyze skin, I can tell when clients use chemical sun
protection by their clogged pores. I often tell clients that using
chemical sunscreen is like throwing away all the good we achieved
through facials.
Other Essentials:
Retinol cream
If you have a trusted dermatologist and have ageing or acne prone skin, I highly recommend getting Retinol cream prescribed. In addition to helping skin shed layers it penetrates into pores dissolving dead skin cells and killing bacteria.
This product encourages cells to act young. It improves circulation therefore nourishing skin. The result is rosy, glowing, firmer skin. I will be happy to give you a referral to an excellent dermatologist in San Francisco.
Lactic acid
It has thicker, bigger molecules and is recommended to exfoliate the back. Great if you have breakouts or acne on your body.
Benzoyl Peroxide
This is a must treatment for acne prone skin. It brings impurities to the surface and kills bacteria.
Herbal Sea Salt Scrub
The epidermis, outmost layer of the skin, consists of 15 to 40 layers of dead skin cells which play a major role in our immune system. The skin contains about half of all the white blood cells (leucocytes) which metabolize to fight viruses, bacteria, and cancer. Therefore when you exfoliate your entire body the epidermis comes out healthier. Exfoliating is like boosting our immune system.
The Herbal Sea Salt Scrub contains sage which detoxifies, rosemary
which improves circulation, and seaweed which has iodine, a major
food for the thyroid gland. In addition it has chamomile and
lavender to soothe skin, and honey to nourish and exfoliate.
After this scrub I personally feel reenergized, light and cleaner
than ever before. I am sure you too will feel this.
C-Serum
This product will make a difference not only in the appearance but in the health and quality of your skin. C-Serum stimulates the formation of collagen and reduces inflammation. I recommend this for all skin types.
Hydrating Serum
This serum is pure concentrated active ingredient and delivers intensive hydration and is the newest product from Pauli of Vienna.
Tip:
I use this product as moisture boost whenever it is cold and
windy outside and the skin needs that extra boost and
protection.
